Faculty Mentoring Program Research demonstrates that one of the most important factors that contribute to the likelihood of college success is providing entering students with a mentor. Since 1987 faculty members and, more recently staff members at Fresno State have generously volunteered their time to mentor first-year students. We invite you to become a part of the mentoring tradition. Training workshops for all interested faculty and staff will be offered in April for the fall cohort of mentors. No previous experience is needed. For faculty, a workshop will be held Friday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to noon in Education Building, room 140. For staff, a workshop will be held Friday, April 22, from noon to 1:30 in Education 140 (Brown bag lunch). Training includes:
