Health Policy Research Fellowship Applications must be received by April 25 for Interdisciplinary Health Policy Research Fellows, offered by the Central Valley Health Policy Institute (CVHPI) at Fresno State. The goal of the fellowship program is to encourage cutting-edge policy research and analysis focused on key health challenges in the San Joaquin Valley region. The program also seeks to continue development of individual researcher and institutional capacity to participate in externally funded health policy research. To meet these objectives, up to six Interdisciplinary Health Policy Research Fellows will be selected for 2005. Fellowships will also be offered in subsequent years. Interdisciplinary Health Policy Research Fellows will receive up to $10,000 for their participation in the program. Additional support may also be available for Fellows whose proposals for research receive external funding. Fellows selected for 2005 will utilize their program participation to work with CVHPI staff to conduct literature reviews, pilot studies and other activities that culminate in the development and submission of proposals for externally funded, community-collaborative research or demonstration and evaluation projects focused on the priority areas for the Institute. Applicants will be notified by May 16 and will be expected to begin the fellowship by June 6, 2005. For program details, research priorities, and detailed application instructions, see www.csufresno.edu/ccchhs/HPI/fellowship.html.
