Rotary Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Fresno invites applications for the 2006-07 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship Award. The application forms are now available for Fresno State students with a desire to study abroad. The application deadline is April 15.

Some of these awards are up to $25,000 and cover all regular expenses such as tuition, travel, room, board, insurance etc.  These are one academic year scholarships for study abroad, however there are study sites that are for three to six months for cultural and language study.

Applicants must have completed at least two years of university course work and must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club.  Initial applications must be made through the Fresno Rotary Club.

If you know of a student that you feel may be eligible and has a desire to study abroad please have them pick up the application form at:       International Program Office, Family Food Science Building, room 111.

Dr. Peter Klassen, (Emeritus, History) a Fresno Rotarian and former director of International Programs, has volunteered to guide eligible students through the application process.
