Volunteers, 'Heroes'      to be honored May 16

Fresno State will award 98 student volunteers with the President’s Volunteer Service Award, a national honor offered in recognition of volunteer service. On Monday, May 16, at the University House, University President John D. Welty will host “The Service Awards Reception: Honoring the Spirit of Community at California State University, Fresno.” more

Mediator Appreciation Day

On May 12, more than 300 students who have been trained to facilitate peer conflict resolution will converge on Fresno State. The Third Annual Mediator Appreciation Day is sponsored by the Kremen School of Education and Human Development, the Peace and Conflict Studies Program and University Outreach Services. more

Students praise their faculty mentors

On April 6, the College Assistant Migrant Program (CAMP) and the Faculty Mentoring Program (FMP) held a reception in honor of the 2004-2005 Faculty Mentors who generously volunteered their time to guide, support and encourage first-year students.  more
