Back to the '50s

Fresno State’s Parents Association and the Division of Student Affairs will hold a “Back to the 50’s” event Wednesday, May 25, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the University House.

The evening will include entertainment by Elvis and Marilyn and lots of 1950’s themed fun, including hors d’oeuvres, wine-tasting, an old-fashioned soda fountain, silent auction and rockin’ 50’s tunes.

Proceeds will benefit the New Student Orientation Program and Fresno State’s Services for Students with Disabilities, programs that help new students acclimate to university life, learn the basics for making a successful transition from high school to college and to assist those with special needs.

Tickets are $30 per person ($15 is tax deductible) and the reservation deadline is May 16. Contact Jennifer Matzen at 8-4189 for more information.
