Randolph Lacy
Randolph Lacy (Music) was praised by newspaper critics for two recent performances. For his performance in J.S. Bach's “St. John Passion,” the Houston Chronicle wrote: “ … Tenor Randolph Lacy sang the part with deeper understanding and greater ease than two years ago. His narration was steeped in conviction. His singing was clear yet intense …” The Daily Camera in Boulder, Colo., wrote of the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra and Boulder Chorale performance: “The best moments of the performance, however, were the movements featuring the four soloists. Local favorites Szilvia Schranz, soprano, and Clea Nemetz, alto, were joined by tenor Randolph Lacy and baritone Steven Taylor. All are fine singers, and come together beautifully in movements such as “Recordare” and “Benedictus.”
