JUMPSTART-FOR-A-DAY!
Every year, Jumpstart programs across the nation hold an annual event called Jumpstart-for-a-Day (JFAD). JFAD is a one-day learning fair for Jumpstart and other local preschool children and their families. Jumpstart tutors will plan fun learning stations, and there may even be a visit from a special Storybook Character! This Spring, Jumpstart Fresno will hold JFAD events at all eight Program Partner centers. To learn more about JFAD, or if you would like to volunteer for any JFAD activities, please contact the Jumpstart office.
KID'S DAY 2002

Jumpstart Fresno is very active in the community and volunteers it's Corps members to help out during community service days. In March of 2002, Jumpstart teamed up with the Students for Community Service Department at Fresno State and spent all day in the streets of Fresno selling over 1,200 Fresno Bee newspapers (donated) to benefit the Central Valley Children's Hospital. We look forward to continuing our service to the community by teaming up again in 2003 and surpassing our record!

Year-End Celebration!
On May 15, 2002 Jumpstart Fresno held it's first annual Year-End Celebration! It was held to commemorate the dedication and effort of the Jumpstart Corps members in their community. Jumpstart staff, program partners, and Corps members were in attendance to celebrate the over 12,500 hours of community service that were dedicated to the children and families of Fresno.
