Each week San Joaquin Spotlight features in-depth conversations with guests from a wide variety of fields, from arts and culture to business and education; people who are helping to make this region a better place. San Joaquin Spotlight gives new area residents a chance to learn more about the people, organizations and places that help to make the Valley unique, and longtime residents new insights into the place we call home. The program is hosted by 90.7 Sevag Tateosian, and airs every Saturday at 1:30pm and Sunday at 11:30. San Joaquin Spotlight is also available in downloadable form as an MP3 and podcast.

What's the Word - Sundays at 10:00am

Be listening every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM for What’s the Word, a new program about the world of language and literature.  Produced by the Modern Language Association and broadcast on public radio stations nationwide, What's the Word cover a wide variety of subjects, from discussions of the writings of Ernest Hemmingway to the world of contemporary women’s literature, and more. What’s the Word presents thought provoking and interesting discussion about the written and spoken word and how language enriches people's lives.

Earth and Sky - Monday thru Friday 12:00pm

Each day at noon KFSR's listeners are treated to a 2 minute program which makes science fun and interesting, called "Earth & Sky." Produced by radio veterans Deborah Byrd and Joel Block, this winning program airs on over 950 radio stations across the country, and since 1991 has grown into one of the premier programs of its kind in the world. Many of the programs focus on specific astronomical events, giving listeners an idea of what to look for in the night sky. In addition to reporting on the current events of  astronomy, "Earth & Sky" also produces programs that focus on new scientific discoveries, established scientific theories, environmental concerns, as well as listener questions. "Earth & Sky" also produces and excellent award winning website, which has daily information about the program, the scientific world, sky charts, an online store, and much more.
