The annual Exemplary Practices in Education Leadership Conference was held October 2, 2014 in Clovis, California at the Clovis Memorial District building. Michael Fullan, delivered both a morning and an afternoon keynote on systemic change, K-16.
This one-day conference was designed for P-16 educational leaders—superintendents, district leaders, principals, site leaders, teacher leaders, deans, and higher education faculty—to explore the roles and critical actions of leaders as they transform their organizations into collaborative cultures of 21st century learning for students and educators.
The proposed John D. Welty Center for Educational Policy and Leadership.
Established in 2002 under the leadership of President Welty, the Central Valley Educational Leadership Institute (CVELI) seeks to elevate educational leadership and eliminate the achievement gap for students in the Central Valley.
The vision is to build upon the success of CVELI by establishing a permanent funding source and rename the institute in honor of President Welty. To learn more about the proposed Center, click here.
