You are invited to become part of a Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Fresno State leading to the doctor of education (Ed.D.) degree. The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Fresno State (DPELFS) provides students the opportunity to learn from and work with faculty from California State University, Fresno and members of the Regional Partnership Advisory Board (RPAB).
The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Fresno State provides educational opportunities to students who want to become outstanding educational leaders who can transform schools and colleges. The faculty offer classes that prepare leaders in theory, practice, and research. Courses emphasize practice through the signature pedagogy of “embedded fieldwork” assuring learning relative to real life educational issues and problems.
The program provides strong support through a cohort model and encouraging faculty. The DPELFS is a participant in the prestigious Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, which is a study on how to enhance education doctorates to be more focused on professional practice.
This website should assist you in understanding the components of the program as well as the admissions criteria. We thank you for your interest in our program, and hope you will discover our passion for providing the best educational doctoral program in the nation.
