Mediator Mentors is a university-public school partnership in which future teachers, counselors, social workers, and school psychologists support the development of conflict resolution skills in school children. Currently the program is training students, teachers, and administrators in peer mediation and conflict resolution education.
Teachers and students in local schools receive eight to ten hours of communication and conflict resolution training. University students (future helping professionals) coach during trainings and mentor at lunch periods. More than 6,000 children and teachers have participated to date.
