A. Ask for your traditional reserve materials at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of the library.
Q. Where are audio/visual materials on reserve?
A. Music & Media reserve materials are in Music & Media on the 3rd floor of the new north wing at the top of the grand staircase.
Q. Will the Library provide equipment to playback the media reserve materials?
A. Listening and viewing equipment are available in Music & Media for media items placed on reserve. To check-out Print and Media reserve materials the student must have a current Fresno State identification card with library barcode. In most cases a maximum of one item per course may be checked out to a student at one time. Late fees begin to accumulate immediately if materials are not returned at the specified time or date.
Q. May reserve materials be taken out of the library?
A. Most reserve materials may leave the library. If there is an exception to this the item will be labeled.
Q. How long do the items check out for?
A. 2 hours, 4 hours, 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week.
Q. What are the fines for items returned late?
A. $1.00 per hour or day. Depending on the circulation period.
Q. Do you have a copy of the textbook for my class on reserve?
A. The library does not purchase textbooks. The professor may put a personal copy of the textbook on reserve.
Q. How many reserve items can be checked out at one time?
A. One item per class in most cases.
Q. May I renew reserve materials?
A. Reserve materials may not be renewed in most cases.
Q. Can I put a hold on a reserve item?
A. No. Reserve items are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis.
