Dr. Devendra Sharma is a folk artist of the renowned tradition of Nautanki, a style of operatic performance of northern India. Nautanki vibrates with lively dancing, pulsating drumbeats, and full-throated singing. Sharma will discuss the historical and performative dimensions of the Nautanki tradition and his use of Nautanki performances to communicate contemporary messages.
