REUS
Dr. Tamas Forgacs and his research group of Mario Banuelos (junior), Michelle Hoshiko (junior), James Tipton (junior) and Benjamin Wright (freshman) were selected as one of the 15 nationwide participants of the 2010-2011 CURM (Center of Undergraduate Research in Mathematics) program organized by Brigham Young University. The competition was fierce - the fifteen research groups were selected out of a total of 75 applications. This award comes with a $3000 stipend for each student researcher along with travel support to a conference in Utah where the students will present their research work. We are very excited about this honor as it signals the growing strength of Department of Mathematics' undergraduate research activities. Congratulations!
