Welcome Letter
Dear First Year Student:
Welcome to Fresno State!
As you begin your university career, we would like to ask you:
Did you have a mentor in high school? Was there someone at school with whom you felt comfortable to ask questions? Did that person make high school and the road to college a little easier to understand?
At Fresno State we would like to assist you in your transition from high school to college. Since 1987 we have been matching hundreds of students with trained university mentors and we know that having a mentor will assist you to achieve success.
We would like to match you with a university mentor.
A university mentor is someone who knows a lot about our campus and is ready, willing, and able to listen to your questions and concerns and point you in the right direction. A mentor is someone who can explain issues that can make campus life a little bit smoother.
