Mentor Training Handbook

Over the years, California State University Fresno (CSUF) has demonstrated the ability to develop support programs for students to assist them in being academically successful. Programs such as Educational Opportunity Program, College Assistance Migrant Program, University Migrant Services, the Academic Game Plan, the McNair Program, University One, and the Faculty Mentoring Program among others have been effective. However, it is clear that our campus could do more to promote student success that could lead to improved retention, persistence, and graduation rates. This action is consistent with the policy priorities established in the California State University Cornerstones document and the University’s Plan for Excellence.
