MESA Day at UC Santa Barbara
April 24, 2004 |
Over 100 MESA
students, 10 staff, and 6 MESA advisors were invited to the annual regional
MESA Day at UC Santa Barbara. Due the limitation of budget and resources
status. The buses left 4 AM that morning to arrive at UC Santa Barbara at
8:15 AM.
MESA Day was successful and full of excitements. Thus, after a long day of
competitions the group enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the coast; before we
head back to Fresno.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all MESA advisors, staff,
volunteers, and students for participating in this event. Even though, this
event and the trip were long, 19 hours. (Please note that more photos
will be added as they come)

Three of a kind in the freshman class: triplets enter UC
Berkeley
BERKELEY – In today's economy, it's a struggle for almost any family to
send a child to college. But Abel and Emma Mireles of Sanger, Calif., didn't
hesitate a moment when their triplets, Erica, Monica, and Sonia, set their
sights on what the family considered "the crown jewel of the University of
California system."
