Ed Hull
Ed Hull, tuba instructor, holds a Bachelor of Music degree from California
State University, Long Beach and a Master of Arts in low brass performance
from California State University, Fresno. He has studied bass trombone and
tub with Jeffrey Reynolds and James Winter. Hull is also a graduate of the
United States Armed Forces School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia where
he graduated first in his class and performed with the U.S. Navy Band.
Hull's teaching duties include director of bands at Manchester G.A.T.E. Elementary School. His traditional jazz youth band, "Hull's Angels" has earned a reputation as one of the finest groups of its kind in the nation and has appeared at professional jazz festivals throughout the United States and Canada.
Hull is active on the jazz scene as a clinician, has performed on a number of recordings and travels extensively as tubist and arranger for the Blue Street Jazz Band.
