PARKING at EVENTS

Save Mart Center Events

Our focus is to ensure students, faculty, and staff have parking spaces during Save Mart Center events on school nights, as well as to mitigate traffic congestion.

Parking is available in the North Lot, the parking fee is normally $10.00 or $5.00, depending on the type of event.

Please note:
  1. Traffic on Woodrow and Chestnut Avenues will be restricted and possibly shut down to university traffic (students, employees, and non-SMC university visitors).
  2. To enter or exit the east campus parking lots (C, V, B, A, J, and UBC) use Maple Ave off of Shaw Ave, or Maple Ave from Barstow Ave. Uniformed personnel will be available to assist you at Maple/Keats Avenues.
  3. During Save Mart Center Events, the daily permit dispensers on the east side of campus will be adjusted to $8.00 for some of the events.
  4. Employees and students may purchase the $3.00 daily permit from the Parking Office, the Information Kiosk on Maple Ave, or the Kennel Bookstore prior to event dates. University ID is required.

Staff, faculty, and students who have a valid campus parking permit, may park in the campus parking lots with their parking pass. Please remember, these permits are not valid for the North Parking Lot during an event.

Football Parking

All campus lots are utilized for parking during football games.

Season ticket holders receive a parking pass in advance, and may park in their designated lot: either red, white, purple, gray, or yellow.

Single game ticket holders may parking in Campus Parking Lots A, B, C, D, E, J, and V. The fee on game days is $10.00. Students and staff/faculty permits are valid on campus only.

See page three of the Football Fan Guide for a color coded parking map.

Other Events

Please check with sponsoring department for the event you are attending, for parking information/availability.

It is the responsibility of the attendee to know the parking rules and regulations prior to parking. If no free parking has been arranged for the event, you may purchase a daily permit and park in the student/visitor parking lots, designated "green" lots on the campus map.
