Releasing an Impounded Vehicle

The registered owner of the vehicle must come in to the University Police Department and provide the following:

1. proof of ownership
2. current registration
3. a valid driver's license, or with someone currently licensed to drive

An officer shall verify the owner information, verify the vehicle can be released, and verify a licensed driver is present prior to releasing the vehicle to the registered owner.

The release must be taken to the tow company by the registered owner to obtain the vehicle.
