2. Student Enrollments

Headcounts are shown in this section by degree objective (2.1), by gender and level (2.2), and by race/ethnicity (2.3). FTES is also shown in Table 2.1. All tables are based upon fall semester enrollment.

The separation of those with degree objectives and those with no degree objectives (primarily transitory and credential students) is tentative for Fall 2002 as this data was generated in a different manner using the newly introduced PeopleSoft Student Administration software and some discrepancy exists between the implicit definitions.  Any revision can be expected to be small.

Another change in the Fall 2002 data is the significant increase in the percentage of students with unknown race/ethnicity but this is believed to be a real change, not a function of the new software. As with display 1.4. Admissions by Race/Ethnicity, the percent figures shown for ethnicity are, for the five race/ethnic categories, the percent based upon the known ethnicities only; the percent shown for Unknown is the percent of the total.
