This is a totally non-threatening way to get your questions answered and includes lots of great information. By the way, one of the featured physician, James Harris, graduated from Fresno State. 1. Academic Associates Research Program. The UCSF-Fresno Emergency Resserach Department has an opportunity for pre-med students who would like some research clinical observation experience. Check the website http://www.fresno.ucsf.edu/em/academic_research_associates.htm for information and an application. This is a one-unit credit/no-credit course. The deadline is July 23, 2010, 5:00 pm.
For Future Reference: 1. The Student National Medical Association is offering $1250 scholarships for pemedical students who excell academically and have shown a commitment to serving the underserved. Postbac programs are a good option for students trying to strengthen their medical schol application. For the applicaiton and information on the California Postbaccalaureate Consortium, the mission of which is to get more disadvantaged or minority students inot medical school, go to https://meded-postbac.ucsd.edu.
