The campus president has numerous responsibilities as the chief executive officer of the university, as the primary liaison between the university and the greater community, and as the public "face" of the institution. The president maintains a close working relationship with the CSU's systemwide office, reporting to the chancellor and representing thecampus on the systemwide Executive Council. The president provides leadership in managing campus operations and plans for future needs including fundraising and working with the campus community in setting campus priorities. The President also oversees the hiring and support of staff and teaching faculty.
