  • Virgil H. Adams, III, Ph.D., is now an Associate Professor of Psychology at California State University, Channel IslandsPicture of Drs. Robert Levine and Virgil Adams, where he does research on social psychology issues such as hope, quality of life, and intergroup relations, with an emphasis on special populations.
  • Melissa Boyd, M.A., recently accepted a job in Washington, D.C., where she will be responsible for supporting Child Life Specialists across the nation and advocating for Child Life in hospitals.
  • Jerry Burger, Ph.D., is now a Professor of Psychology at Santa Clara University.  His research focuses on social influence, in particular compliance.
  • Adam B. Hess is now an instructor in the Department of Criminology and a doctoral candidate in Forensic Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Fresno.
  • John Jabagchourian, is working to complete his doctoral degree in Education at U.C. Santa Barbara.  His dissertation focuses on children’s development and selection of mental strategies (particularly in math) and how various forms of instruction can influence strategy development.
  • Ada Lauren, M.A., is now working in research on breast cancer.
  • Ara Noranzayan, Ph.D., is now a Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia.
  • Albert Rodriguez, is now working for a pharmaceutical company.
  • Kristen Spencer, is currently working on her doctoral degree in behavioral medicine at Auburn University.
  • Miriam Stepanian, is now an Executive Director at KVPR in Fresno.
  • Carolyn Tellalian, M.A., earned her degree in Social Work and now works as a social worker.
  • James T. Townsend, Ph.D., is now a Rudy Professor of Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington where he does runs the Mathematical Psychology Lab conducting theoretical and experimental research on parallel versus serial processing and letter and elementary pattern perception.
  • Kanako Yamamoto, M.Ed., is now a Special Education Teacher at the STARS School, a treatment/research program for children with autism.
  • Lori Yancura, Ph.D., is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Science at the University of Hawaii Manoa.  She is the Principal Investigator in the Ohana Caregivers Project.
