Promising Practices
Do you recall attending powerful sessions at local, national or international conferences, and leaving reenergized and ready to share at your university those newly learned “Promising Practices?” All of us have good intentions, especially when inspired by dynamic, enthusiastic speakers but often, once we return home, the implementation of a new idea or strategy is quickly replaced by other professional priorities.
Because The Renaissance Group firmly believes in the power of collaboration as a viable tool for facilitating the implementation of new and exciting instructional practices, we invite you to assist us with the collection of “Promising Practices” to include in our new TRG website for access and distribution to all members. The TRG Executive Office and Governing Board agree this process can be an excellent vehicle for delivering to each of you a treasure of knowledge, ideas and experiences, ready to apply at your institutions, without “reinventing the wheel.”
A “Promising Practice,” is an instructional/organizational strategy or tool you have successfully implemented in your classroom, department or institution.
In order to contribute your “Promising Practice(s), simply send us a 1-2 page abstract, describing the essential components, including primary contact person(s), email address and telephone number. Any faculty or administrative member of a present or future TRG institution may participate. Once received, your “Promising Practices” will be posted on the new TRG web page, to be shared nationally with all TRG members, as well as for future Conferences and TRG Newsletters. Thank you.
