FOUR YEAR NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship type is awarded to high school seniors who will soon graduate or obtain an equivalent certificate. Competition for these scholarships is keen, as over 6,000 students from across the country compete for them. Scholarships may cover up to $20,000 of tuition and fees per year or Room and Board up to $10,000, depending on what the awardee chooses. Scholarship awardees also receive a book allowance of $1,200 per year ($600/semester) and receive a monthly tax-free stipend ranging from $300 to $500 per month. The application deadline is December 1 of the fall semester of senior year. Applications can be submitted online or you can get a paper copy at Fresno State Army ROTC. Interviews are conducted and a board is held to select awardees. Campus scholarships, with the same benefits stated above, may be available to those freshmen students not receiving a National Scholarship who enroll in Army ROTC at Fresno State or Fresno City College. Campus scholarship offers can be granted at anytime during the school year.
