League of Women Voters of Fresno
$1,000 Peterson Scholarship
The League of Women Voters of Fresno has established a scholarship fund through the generosity of Bette Peterson. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to new and continuing full-time undergraduate male or female students at Fresno State. All applicants must demonstrate a need for assistance, have at least a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher, and show evidence of involvement in government, natural resource, or social policy issues through their school or community.
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must complete the Fresno State scholarship application. Applicants should select the check-box on the application that states "Involved in government, natural resource, or social policy issues..." to be identified as a candidate.

The Harvey Milk Project at Fresno State is currently accepting applications for the inaugural recipient of the "Harvey Milk Hope Award" to be utilized in the 2012-13 academic year.
Applicants must be a Fresno State junior or senior enrolled in the American Humanics Certification Program. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must complete the Fresno State scholarship application. Applicants need to select the check-box on the application that states "Are you an upper division student nearing completion of the Humanics Certification Program" to be identified as a candidate.
