Scholarship Application

Instructions

The scholarship application for California State University, Fresno is only available online.  We do not distribute paper applications and will only accept the online scholarship application for consideration of all institutional scholarship awards. 

 

You will need the following information to successfully submit your application

  1. Your Social Security number or California State University, Fresno student I.D. number.  Scholarships are available to new and continuing students who have been issued a Social Security Number by the United States of America or a Student I.D. number from California State University, Fresno.  The latter identification number is obtained when a student has been admitted to California State University, Fresno. Without a Social Security or Student I.D. Number, we are not able to consider you as a possible candidate for scholarships.
  2. Permanent mailing address and phone number within the U.S.A.
  3. Your income information for the year.  If you did not file a tax return you may be asked to explain how you financially support yourself.
  4. Your parents income information for the year.  You only need to provide this information if you will be living at home during the 2008-2009 academic year.
  5. Grade Point Average Verification Form.   If you are not currently admitted and enrolled at California State University, Fresno, the Scholarship Office must receive official verification of  your cumulative grade point average from your last institution attended.  Please submit the GPA Verification Form no later than one week after your application has been submitted.

    The Scholarship Selection Committees reserve the right not to consider any application if the G.P.A. can not be verified. 
  6. Personal statements.  You will be prompted to enter three different statements. One statement for each year 2006 and 2007 for achievements, community service activities, and scholarships received to date, followed by a statement regarding your career objectives.  Personal statements are generally what takes the longest to complete.  Have your statements already prepared in a word processor so that when you reach the Achievements portion of the application you can cut-and-paste your statements into the application.  Need help writing a personal statement?
