Bio President


My Name is Zoraida Martinez. I am in my 5th year perusing my B.S. in Computer Engineering. I have been a part of the SHPE Familia for the past 5 years. I was treasurer of SHPE for the 2006-2007 academic year and Vice President for the 2009-2010 year. I am please to serve the term of President for the 2010-2011 year. During the time in which I have been a part of SHPE I have acquired a variety of skills which have helped me develop not only as student but as a leader as well. I strongly believe in the SHPE mission and hope to encourage each and every one of you to take on a leadership position. As President, I hope to make members aware of all the opportunities SHPE has to offer in terms of: scholarships, internship and networking. I look forward on making this academic year an excellent one! The President shall have full power in the management and business of the chapter and shall set and establish all policy of the chapter and/or other functions or activities under the direction of this chapter. The President shall also be the official spokesperson for the chapter. The president shall also manage the other operation officers and manage the day-to-day affairs of the chapter.
