Professional Development Institutes in Mathematics Content: Fall 2007
These workshops are designed for teachers, administrators, and para-professionals working in grades K-Algebra.

October 13, October 27, November 3, November 17, December 1, 2007
8:00 am – 4:00 pm at California State University, Fresno.
 

Participants will:

This 40-hour institute qualifies for SB 472 mathematics follow-up.
2 units of University Credit will be available for an additional cost. 

Grades K-3 Institutes

Number Sense will be the focus of the 40-hour Institute:  Pre-Computation Number Concepts; Arithmetic Problem Types; Place Value; Addition/Subtraction Strategies; Multiplication/Division Strategies; Fraction Concepts.

Grades 4-6 Institutes

Number Sense will be the focus of the 40-hour Institute:  Place Value; Addition/Subtraction Strategies; Multiplication/Division Strategies; Fraction Concepts; Fraction Addition/Subtraction; Fraction Multiplication/Division; Fraction and Decimal Notations.

Grades 6-8 Algebra Institutes

Algebra & Functions will be the focus of the 40-hour Institute:  Algebraic Thinking; Integers; Order of Operations; Variables; Functions and Relations; Pythagorean Theorem; Systems of Equations.

Registration fee is $500 per participant paid by check or PO to “CSUF Foundation”
