Apply for Services
California State University, Fresno students who have a verified disability are eligible for services through the SSD office. To receive services, follow these steps:
1. Students desiring academic accommodations must complete an enrollment form and provide SSD with verification of disability from an appropriate and acceptable professional. Explanation of appropriate professional and appropriate verification for the student's disability will be provided by SSD upon contact.
2. Make an appointment with one of the Disability Management Specialists.
When you meet with the Disability Management Specialist, you will discuss the different accommodations available to you and develop a service plan. At that time, you will receive details on how to use the accommodations on your plan. Individual contact is necessary to ensure that academic accommodations are appropriate according to information provided by the verifying professional, state, California State University and federal guidelines. Alterations or adjustments to academic accommodations may be made, if appropriately documented, to ensure academic opportunities.
