Students must meet the following qualifications:
 A 3.5
cumulative Grade Point Average for students new to Fresno State or a 3.2
cumulative GPA for continuing students
Must have
been awarded financial aid with a minimum unmet financial need of $1,920 ($960 for each semester) verified
by the University Financial Aid Office
Maintain full time student status
(12 undergraduate units or 8 graduate units (200 series) equal full time
status.)
The opportunity to participate in the SSG program is given to all students
who meet the minimum qualifications.
Qualified students are notified by the SSG program of their eligibility.
Eligible students are required to attend an SSG orientation
