FRESNO STATE WELCOME 2009

AUGUST 20th - SEPTEMBER 16th

What is being a student at Fresno State all about? Join us at the beginning of the fall semester and see for yourself! The first three weeks of the semester will be filled with activities, campus resources and information, Open Houses, entertainment, and Bulldog Pride! Beginning with University Courtyard's move-in and culminating with Student Affairs S.A.F.A.R.I., Fresno State Welcome wants you to make connections with the campus community, and have a great time doing it!

A few featured events are:

Academic Success Day is Tuesday, August 25th at the Memorial Gardens (in front of the Kennel Bookstore) and is designed to help you navigate through the world of Academics, connect with faculty and students in your major, and prepare you for your future career by providing:

College and Department Representatives Fair
Major Advising Services
Academic Clubs and Organizations Fair
Learning Center Services

Find friends and a group (or two) to join at Involvement Day on Wednesday, August 26th. You can look forward to:

In addition to all of this, the University Student Union will be hosting its annual Open House and providing free refreshments, games, haircuts, prizes, airbrush tattoos and more!

Lost? Can't find a class or decipher your schedule? Let the W.A.G. Pack help you! Look for the Welcome Tents all over campus during the first week of classes for directions, free stuff, and information about upcoming Welcome events. Curious about joining the WAG Pack? Click here.

Hoping for a little evening entertainment? How about a free outdoor movie! USU Productions will be showing a recently released film at dark on Wednesday, August 26th. Bring snacks, a blanket, pillow, and friends and join the crowd for an evening under the stars.

Interested in Volunteering? Head out to the Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, September 2nd and visit the Community Service Fair and meet numerous representatives from the community who would like to work with you. This event is hosted by the Jan & Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning.
