Returning Students

We are glad that you are interested in returning to Fresno State!  We recommend to meet with an academic counselor prior to enrolling in any courses.  Below is helpful information to explain the process.  Please click the section that applies to you.

The next application period is October 1, 2017 – February 1, 2018 for Fall 2018.  To apply, please visit: www.calstate.edu/apply

I've been out for 1 semester:

You can log into your student portal and register at the appointed time.  (November for Spring courses and April for Fall courses)

I've been out for 2 or more semesters:

I left in good or probation standing:

Reapply to Fresno State between October 1 - February 1 for Fall admission.  When you reapply, apply as the major you wish to complete; it can be different than your original major.

I left due to being academically disqualified:

1. Demonstrate academic success in courses taken through Open University or other accredited institution(s) and obtain a minimum of a 2.50 GPA in those courses.

2. Complete all Lower Division General Education.

3.  If all lower division general education and lower division major courses have been completed there must be a minimum of 6 units completed in courses that are major or career related.

4. Reapply to Fresno State between October 1 - February 1 for Fall admission.  When you reapply, apply as the major you wish to complete; it can be different than your original major.  Admissions will be in contact with you regarding next steps.
