Initial financial aid awards are based upon the expectation of full time enrollment (12 units or more or 8 units of 200 level series). All financial aid recipients will have their eligibility recalculated based on their enrollment at census date (the end of a term's fourth week of instruction). Aid is not adjusted for enrollment changes after census.

--> Any student on Satisfactory Academic Progress Plan will have their coursework evaluated prior to the release of any Fall semester funds. Upon completion of the evaluation, funds will be released for students continuing to make Satisfactory Academic Progress.

--> For students enrolled in a Teacher Credential Program, Federal Pell Grant and Cal Grants funds will be disbursed BY census date, (the end of a term's fourth week of instruction), upon verification of eligible course enrollment.

  • If you are no longer planning to attend for the Fall 2017 semester, please notify the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office and Admissions and Records.

NOTE: Dropping units after receiving disbursement(s) may require you to repay some or all of the aid you received based upon your eligibility recalculation.

  • Eligibility for most financial aid programs is prorated based on your actual enrollment at the time of the disbursement.

--> If you receive less than 100% of your award for the term, and then increase your enrollment, any  increase will be done automatically.

  • The amount disbursed is a percentage of the amount awarded to you based on the following table:
Program Units of Enrollment
  12+ 9-11         6-8 0-5
Federal Pell Grant - Undergraduate Students 100% 74% 49%  24%
