Greetings from the Vice-President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students

Dear Fresno State Student:

Welcome to the Fresno State experience! Fresno State is your university and we’re glad you are here. It is a great place to learn and to achieve your academic and personal goals. As a Fresno State student, it is up to you to take full advantage of all the programs, services and unique features of this campus. That is why we created this Student Handbook. Please view it as your one-stop shopping center to get the most out of your Fresno State experience.

We realize you lead a busy life – you have to arrange classes, work and family responsibilities. You need a convenient way to gain access to those campus offices and services that can answer questions, solve problems, and help you complete your degree in a timely manner. This is the purpose of the Student Handbook.

If you have a hard copy, keep it handy; otherwise you should bookmark the electronic ver-
sion on the Student Affairs home page on your Internet browser to http://www.csufresno.edu/studentaffairs/. When you have a problem or need a campus service, use your Student Handbook to find a solution. All of the offices on this campus are here to help you and to remove obstacles that hinder your progress to completing your degree. However, you need to know where they are and how to use them. Your Student Handbook will help you do that.
