THE OFFICE OF ADVISING SERVICES (OAS) - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 224, 278-1787. OAS provides advising for General Education and graduation requirements, facilitates "Dog Days: New Student Orientation," and assists undeclared students with exploring major options.
ADVO_INFO LISTSERV- An on-campus LISTSERV has been established by Office of Advising Services for faculty and staff advisors. The purpose of the list is to facilitate effective information dissemination across the campus. Members with receive the latest advising information as it becomes available. DOG_DAYS LISTSERV- An on-campus LISTSERV has been established by Office of Advising Services to facilitate communication among the campus community members who are involved in working with DOG DAYS: New Student Orientation at Fresno State. CAREER SERVICES - Located in Thomas Administration Building, Room 103, 278-2381. Career counselors provide career counseling, facilitate job search workshops, and host career fairs.
COLLEGE ASSISTANCE MIGRANT PROGRAM (CAMP) - Located in Thomas Administration Building, Room 105, 278-4768. CAMP provides academic advising, career planning, cultural enrichment, recruitment, job search, and financial aid application assistance to university students from migrant and seasonal farmworker families.
COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES - Located in McLane Hall, Room 194, 278-5027. General Education and major advising is available for all students in Health and Human Services majors.
CRAIG SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADVISING CENTER - Located in Undergraduate Student Services, Peters Building, Room 185, 278-4943. Business students are encouraged to meet with advisors for assistance in program prerequisites, flow charts, and degree requirements.
EDUCATION STUDENT SERVICES CENTER - Located in Education Building, Room 100, 278-0300. Liberal studies advisors provide guidance for degree requirements and credential programs in education.
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM (EOP) - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 224, 278-1787. EOP provides academic advising, learning assistance and tutoring, financial aid information, career information, housing information, and personal counseling to first-generation college students.
FINANCIAL AID OFFICE - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 296, 278-2182. This office assists current and prospective students with the process of applying for and receiving financial assistance available from federal, state and institutional sources for their attendance at Fresno State. This office acts as a clearinghouse for loans, grants, and Work-Study and institutional scholarships.
HEALTH CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM (HCOP) - Located in Science Building, Room 101, 278-4748. HCOP is designed to assist students from educationally / economically disadvantaged backgrounds to prepare for entry into health professional schools and allied health, science and natural science graduate programs.
HEALTH AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES - Located in the Health Center, 278-2734. University Health and Psychological services provides outpatient clinical medical care and, separately, psychological counseling to university students.
HENRY MADDEN LIBRARY - Located in its own building in the center of campus, 278-2596. Supports research and coursework with over 1,000,000 books, journals, and electronic information sources. Provides assistance and instruction on finding and evaluating information.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 256, 278-2782. This office provides academic advising and support services to international students.
LEARNING CENTER (LC) - Located in the Henry Madden Library, Collection Level (downstairs), 278-3052. The LC facilitates a variety of programs and services to meet the educational needs of students including academic success workshops and free tutoring in high demand subject areas for individuals and small groups.
PRE-NURSING ADVISING - Located in McLane Hall, Room 194, 278-5027. Students are given information on program prerequisites, application procedures, and admission requirements for the Nursing program.
PRE-PROFESSIONAL ADVISING- Located in various departments. Academic advising is provided for students who plan to transfer to other institutions for the completion of professional curricula in fields such as law, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, forestry, architecture, theology, librarianship, chiropractic therapy, osteopathic medicine, and podiatric medicine. PSYCHOLOGY ADVISING OFFICE - Located in Science 2, Room 237, 278-5134. This office provides academic advising for pre-psychology and psychology majors.
SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES (SSD) - Located in Henry Madden Library, Room 1202, 278-2811. SSD coordinates academic support, counseling, registration assistance, blue curb parking, orientation, and advocates for students with disabilities with off-campus agencies.
STUDENT-ATHLETE SERVICES- Located in Ricchiuti Academic Center, 278-6185. Academic advisors assist student athletes with NCAA eligibility requirements, academic advising, and tutorial services.
STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (SSSP) - Located in the Lab School, Room 185F, 278-1000. SSSP is a federal TRIO grant program that provides academic assessment, individualized instructional support, and personal and career development skills for first generation, low income, and disabled students.
TESTING SERVICES - Located in Family Food Science, Room 110, 278-2457. The Office of Testing Services has information about both undergraduate and graduate entrance examinations as well as placement and exit exams for matriculating students.
UNIVERSITY MIGRANT SERVICES (UMS) - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 224, 278-1787. UMS provide services and activities to help migrant students maximize their academic skills and support their personal development throughout their university experience.
UNIVERSITY OUTREACH SERVICES (UOS) - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 252, 278-2048. UOS provides preadmission advising and recruitment to high school and community college students.
VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICE - Located in Joyal Administration Building, Room 121, 278-7030. The Registrar's Office acts as a liaison to the State Department of Veteran Affairs to provide assistance regarding the certification of veteran benefits.
WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER - Located in the Thomas Administration, Room 110A, 278-4435. This office provides internships and volunteer opportunities, support and discussion groups, and peer counseling and referral services for women in the university community.
