CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
What is "concurrent enrollment"?
While enrolled at California State University, Fresno, students may enroll for additional courses at another institution outside the CSU system with the written approval of the student's academic advisor. Such approval must be granted prior to the beginning of classes at the other institution . Students must complete the Concurrent Registration Request Form by the end of the first week of instruction at the Admissions and Records Service Windows, North Lobby, Joyal Administration Building.
What are the restrictions on concurrent enrollment?
The courseload in the combined enrollment program may not exceed the maximum unit load restrictions for California State University, Fresno (18 units). Keep in mind that a maximum of 70 transferable units (105 quarter) are allowed to transfer from community colleges to Fresno State.
Can students take a course at another institution and file a grade substitution for the course originally taken at Fresno State?
No, courses originally taken at Fresno State can only be repeated for a grade substitution at Fresno State.
Do students have to apply for concurrent enrollment during summer session?
No. At this time, students are free to attend other institutions during summer sessions without completing the Concurrent Registration Request Form.
