Transfering to Fresno State

The campus is impacted at the transfer level and will implement supplementary criteria for admission.  Based on space availability, transfer applicants from the Local Area will be accommodated first.  Local area community colleges are: College of the Sequoias, Fresno City College, Merced Community College, Modesto Community College, Reedley College, West Hills Community College, West Hills College-Lemoore.  Transfer applicants from other colleges or universities and non-California residents will be considered if they have a minimum 2.70 gpa or higher.  Information regarding impaction can be found at: http://www.csufresno.edu/are

Application Deadline:

The application period for upper division transfers begins on October 1, 2011 and will close on November 30, 2011 .

For Fall 2012, Fresno State WILL NOT ACCEPT any lower-division transfers. If, at the time you will enter the CSU, you have completed 59 or fewer semester or 89 or fewer quarter units and are not one of the above listed majors, you are a lower-division transfer and you must continue at the community college until you have met the Upper-Division requirements.

Apply Online

Students should apply online at www.csumentor.edu during the initial filing period, which is October 1- November 30 for Fall and August 1-August 30 for spring. Fresno State currently does not admit students for in the summer.

Students who apply online have 24 hours access to CSUMentor and are able to pay for the application fee with a credit card. Fee waivers may also be granted through CSUMentor. This application allows students to apply to more than one campus with the same electronic application.
