Thank you for your interest in California State University, Fresno and our Liberal Studies undergraduate degree. Our Liberal Studies degree offers a flexible program for students who want to obtain a broad cross section of academic disciplines for those interested in becoming an elementary school teacher. We offer a great opportunity to complete your degree and the teacher preparation credential courses in a carefully planned four-year program. Our academic major, Liberal Studies, is the single largest major on our campus with well over 3,000 students in our program. We prepare the majority of the teachers in the central valley school districts and thru out the State of California.
There are many opportunities for you as teacher incentive programs that are designed to assist you in repaying any educational loans. Our degree and credentials are also nationally and state accredited. We also offer partnerships with local schools to assist you with your credential program student teaching requirement. Our academic advisors are available year-round in our advising center to assist you in course recommendations and to assist you in completing your graduation requirements. Furthermore, we also have to active clubs that will help you engage in various activities to help you encounter a life-long learning experience at Fresno State.
