If you have been referred to SupportNet don't be alarmed! Your instructor just feels that you would benefit from the services provided by SupportNet. First and foremost, we are here to help!
What SupportNet Does:
We work with students like you who may need assistance just learning how to be a student. College instructors expect students know how to take notes, how to study, how to manage their time and be prepared for class. Unfortunately, these are things that aren't often taught in school. That's where SupportNet comes in! We will work with you to establish a "Student Success Plan", a "game-plan" that will help you be successful at Fresno State.
SupportNet also has key representatives in a variety of student support programs and academic offices. These people are part of our Network of Success. Meet with us, and we can evaluate which services on campus are right for you. It's that easy!
What SupportNet Does NOT Do:
SupportNet does not take the place of faculty-student communication. We highly encourage you to speak with your instructors about what might be getting in the way of your academic success.
SupportNet also does not take the place of seeing your academic adviser on a regular basis. We can assist you in making advising arrangements or finding out who to go to for your academic planning.
