Mission Statement
California State University, Fresno supports quality programs that allow students, faculty, and staff to participate in academic, as well as cultural enrichment experiences abroad. It also encourages foreign students and academics to study, teach, and conduct research on our campus to enhance global understanding.
University Commitment
The university is committed to preparing students for careers that transcend political and cultural boundaries. Exposure to a culture other than their own has proven to be the most effective form of international education. The university seeks to increase the number of students, who spend a semester or longer studying in another country.
Closely associated with the promotion of study abroad are efforts to encourage foreign students to come to California State University, Fresno. Such endeavors are coordinated and supervised by the International Student Services and Programs.
