The Fulbright Scholars Program is sponsored by the US Government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the United States and people of other countries. Opportunities are available from two months to an academic year or longer. A new short-term grants program (Fulbright Senior Specialist Program) offers two to six week grants in a variety of disciplines and fields. There are a variety of programs designed exclusively for faculty and professional in US institutions of higher education. Contact: Robert Hudgens, Study Abroad and International Exchanges; 278-6452
Visiting Scholar
Through agreements with campuses abroad, faculty can teach or research at our “Sister Campuses” for short-term assignments. Our faculty normally participate during a sabbatical semester, using research grant funds they have obtained earlier. With permission granted at the School and Departmental levels, faculty are eligible for such short-term assignments. Knowledge of the culture and language of the host university is preferred and makes the experience effective. Contact: Robert Hudgens, Study Abroad and International Exchanges; 278-6452
