What is the major function of the Bulldog symbol?
The primary Bulldog athletic symbol is a strong, appropriate mark representing the Fresno State intercollegiate athletic program. This mark embodies the continuing tradition of tough, successful, high-spirited competition. The symbol is highly recognizable and reproduces well in a variety of graphic uses.

What is the primary Bulldog symbol and how should it be used?
“The Full-bodied Bulldog” is the primary logomark for Fresno State Athletics and is the standard mark for use for ALL identification purposes (web, print, television, etc.). “The Bulldog” MUST always face left, except for use on a red Fresno State football helmet.

What are the “The Bulldog” Colors?
The colors to be used as the standard with “The Bulldog” logomark were designed to ensure a consistent look and image for the university and are as follows:

PMS Red 199

PMS Blue 294

PMS Green 356

These colors are to be used with one- and two-color applications. For two-color applications, the Green V must be converted to PMS Red 199. When applying “The Bulldog” over a blue or red background, a white stroke is permissible around “The Bulldog.”

Any questions concerning the appropriate use of the athletic symbols should be directed to the Athletics Marketing Office, ext. 8.3198.

Are the Bulldog logos trademarked?
Because these are royalty-bearing trademarked insignias, use of them for any for-profit purpose requires authorization and adherence to the established licensing program. Utilization of any of the logos or terminology listed, for off-campus activities and/or softgood reproduction of any kind (e.g., T-shirts, hats, etc.) by anyone, requires authorization in advance from the licensing director in the Athletic Marketing Office.
