The
Fresno State Writing Center is a resource for any student looking for help
on any stage of the writing process. We have several ways to help students
achieve their writing goals. The most used and valued service we offer
is the Group
Tutorial. Students may enroll in a one-unit lab, in which they meet
for two hours a week with two other students and one peer tutor. The success
of our Writing Center has been the unique and comfortable environment created
by a group of peers working together to achieve similar goals. Tutors are
experienced writers who work with the group toward achieving students'
writing goals.
The Writing Center also offers one-on-one Walk-in tutoring, and accepts Online submissions for feedback.
In all three services, tutors are available to serve as readers to student
writing. We will respond to writing with friendly encouragement and advice.
Tutors are not teachers or editors who will "fix" your writing.
We are here to help you achieve your writing goals.
